What would be a good career path for me?

abcdefgh asked:

I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life, especially since I enjoy a wide variety of areas, rather that just one. I’m starting high school, and even though I know that I have a long way until I need to start thinking about careers, I’m curious to know what I’d excell at.

People have said that I am:
Pretty outgoing
A good speaker
Creative
Honest (brutally at times)
A good listener
Argumentative
Stubborn
A perfectionist

People have told me that I’m good at:
Drawing
Writing
Photography
Fashion
Giving advice
Computers in general
Web Design
Graphic Design
Thinking
Clay & Paint
Modeling
Acting
Schoolwork
Sewing

And that I’m bad at:
Sports
Singing
Keeping my mouth shut
Submitting to authority
Musical instruments

Web design. Web knowledge is key, you’ll be able to demand a high salary/high freelance fees, (you’ll be able to make tons of money freelancing outside of work) and it’ll be an exciting and varied career.

A broad range of talents and interests like yours, with high level communication skills, seem to make you a natural systems analyst and systems designer.

This field requires an intelligent enquiring mind with acute observational ability rather than just formal academic qualifications.

You have to be very, very, good with people. You don’t have to like them, but you do have to be able to understand them, communicate with them, and induce, inspire, and encourage them to communicate with you.

A career as a systems analyst, which is open equally to men and women, of any ethnic background, can be very rewarding both financially and in terms of job interest and job satisfaction. There is also a great deal of opportunity in the field, both at home and abroad. In other words, the world needs a lot more systems analysts than it has got right now.

Why don’t you research it yourself? Only then will you understand why I suggest you might be a natural candidate for this kind of career. Good luck!
