Is there a name for this fear?

Hello :) asked:

I have a fear of walking in front of people, I can’t even walk in front of my classmates, my friends turn my papers in for me at school.

Is there a name for this fear?
What about the fear of wind chimes?
My mom is already getting me a psychiatrist.

I am not a psychiatrist. I cannot diagnose.

It’s not paranoia, but it has some paranoid features.
It sounds like one of the phobias, more precisely it sounds like a fear of being followed.

It can be treated medically by a psychiatrist, who would prescibe an anti-antiety drug (not a mood-changer, and not addicting). The medication would treat the brain waves in the brain. Believe me: you will not turn into a Zombie (lol) or a Space Cadet. It gets the brain waves to function better.
The medication will make the difference for you.
(by the way, there is no shame about it: it has nothing to do with intelligence, I.Q.,etc. It just happens to some good teens like yourself.

You would make your life a whole lot easier if you were to make an appointment. Start with your doctor, who might recommend a good psychiatrist who’s good with teens.
You really owe it to yourself.

Wish you all the best.

I work in a Psych Unit with teens with depression/anxiety/drug abuse.

Hope this helps,
with much respect,
Jim

EDIT: I just read your “additional details” Great! I feel like I don’t have to worry about you. I promise to keep you in my prayer (real positive). I’m proud of you, son. With much respect, Jim
