Sounds silly but watch a programme called Art Attack (British programme ITV), I bet it is on youtube. There are loads of art and craft projects that are so easy.

You can bring coffee filters and give student one, have some washable crayola markers and let them design it in any way they want. Place five to six different coffee filters with a net attatched to a wire hanger. Then spray a bit of water on the coffee filters so the colors will mix and spread, creating some tie dye effect. Blow dry and hang them up. Really easy and really simple

Blind fold a person. Then they have to draw/paint a random shape on a piece of paper. Then take off the blind fold. See if they can see a picture with in their drawing/painting. When they see it they can add only one or two touches. Then they have to name their piece and see if other people can see the hidden picture. I is a lot of fun!

I have a ton of ideas just ask me if you need more.. I was doing art education but I had to stop that since nobody is employing art teachers anymore..sow hat’s the point in getting a degree you can’t use…

Through this project, the 3rd grade students worked with tooling metal and various materials such as stylus tools, legos, paperclips, and texture boards to create a relief based artwork with actual texture (texture that can actually be felt). In the border, the kids worked to create visual texture (appears visually to have texture even if it does not) by continuing the pattern or design in the metal onto the framed border. The kids worked creatively and imaginatively to create these interestingly abstract artworks. Awesome work 3rd graders!

There is a really great book called ART FUN. Kim Solga is the editor and it is from North Light Books.
